Fine Print

General Terms: This contest is a game of skill. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Subject to all applicable local and state laws. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries that are deemed fraudulent, incomplete, or illegible. Employees of Darvier Jewelry Design Studio and Feeding Our Communities Ourselves, LLC, and their family members are not eligible to win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

Winner Determination: The entry with the exact correct number of beans in the jar will be declared the winner. In the event of multiple entries with the exact correct number, a random drawing will be conducted from those correct entries to determine the winner. If no entry correctly guesses the exact number of beans, the entry closest to the actual number (without going over) will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie for the exact correct number or a tie for the closest guess (without going over), the contest organizers will contact the tied entrants using the information provided on their entry. These tied entrants will be given a reasonable timeframe and instructions to participate in a mutually agreed-upon tie-breaker activity (e.g., answering a trivia question, providing a second, more precise bean estimate, etc.) to determine the winner from the tied group. Failure to respond or participate in the tie-breaker within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture of eligibility for the prize. The winner will then be determined based on the outcome of the tie-breaker activity. The contest organizers' decision regarding the tie-breaker and the final winner shall be final and binding. The decision of the contest organizers regarding the winning entry shall be final and binding. The announced winner will be contacted using the information provided on their entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within four days of notification, a new winner may be selected in accordance with the same criteria. The actual number of beans in the jar will be revealed upon the announcement of the winner.

Free Mail-In Entry: To enter the contest without donating, you may hand-write your guess (the estimated number of beans), your name, age (confirmation of being 18 or older), and a valid email address or phone number on a plain 3x5-inch postcard. Mail your postcard to: Darvier Jewelry Design Studio, 217 Linden Street, Suite A, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Mail-in entries must be received by Thursday, May 29th, 2025. Limit one (1) mail-in entry per person. Multiple mail-in entries from the same individual will be disqualified. Mail-in entries must comply with all other eligibility requirements.
