Jewelry Designer
About the Position:
As a jewelry designer, you’ll be working directly with clients to understand their ideas, capturing those ideas on paper via sketches, and then collaborating with the Darvier production team to bring the client’s vision to life. Unique design sensibilities are a plus! As technical jewelry engineering is a core part of this job, experience working with and understanding precious metals, diamonds and gemstones, stone setting, finishing constraints, and jewelry repairs is required.
What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities):
Meet directly with clients both in person and virtually, working to understand their vision.
Synthesize client ideas, design experience, and jewelry best practices to create a design concept that is beautiful, wearable, and durable.
Sketch custom designs clearly and to-scale, using both paper and digital methods. Technical drawing skills are a plus.
Educate clients in the properties of various precious metals, gemstones, and diamonds, to help guide them towards the best fit for their piece.
Collaborate with the production team and our in-house metalsmiths to bring jewelry to life.
Stay in contact with clients throughout the design process, building lasting relationships through excellent communication and follow-up.
Manage a roster of multiple projects and custom jobs concurrently.
Close sales effectively to contribute to overall store success.
Contribute to setup and breakdown of product displays in our showroom, as well as a few light, shared tidying tasks.
Stay up-to-date on jewelry trends, materials, and manufacturing technology.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements):
Proven jewelry industry experience
Drawing experience, including skills visualizing 3D objects and translating them into 2D.
A creative and innovative eye for design
A collaborative mindset that excels as a team player
Excellent communication skills with both clients and our in-house team.
Openness to constructive feedback and client revisions.
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties between several projects.
Must be able to reasonably commute to our studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is not a Remote or Hybrid position.
Full time in-person schedule, 10:30-6:30 Tuesday-Saturday. Please note that Saturdays are required.
Familiarity with jewelry design software (e.g., Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar jewelry-based platforms) is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay of $22.50-$30.50 an hour depending on experience, not including daily sales performance bonuses. Typical bonus compensation is an additional $6.25-$25/hr per project.

JEWELRY ADVISOR
Join Our Talented Team! We seek a creative, positive, Showroom Jewelry Advisor who wants to dive into jewelry and grow with a talented and successful team.
About the Position: The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing an exceptional, warm, and welcoming experience for every client while maintaining a premium showroom environment. They are one of the first faces a client sees when they come in and one of the last when the client picks up a completed project. They guide clients down the production pipeline, setting them up with the appropriate route to accomplish their jewelry goals. They are responsible for performing daily showroom tasks such as helping open the store at the beginning of the day, helping close down at the end of the day, shipping orders, keeping displays looking fresh, and ensuring merchandise inventory is in order.
Knowledge of and experience with gemstones, diamonds, precious metals and stone setting types is a must.
Customer Experience & Sales:
Create a welcoming environment for clients by greeting and welcoming guests into our showroom with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism. Create a memorable and personalized experience through tactful interaction and emphasizing education.
Promptly respond to inquiries with accurate information and assist with emails, phone calls, and/or in-person appointments.
Serve as a point of contact/liaison between clients and production, keeping our CRM updated with details of where and who projects are with in production
Check-in processes: adequately document all pieces that we take in with the client’s updated information and photograph everything as it comes in.
Checkout processes: assist clients with pick-ups, payments, exchanges, re-sizing, and shipping.
Feeling comfortable asking for help: we are a collaborative environment. It is crucial to be always open to learning and feedback in this role.
Perform quality control for all outgoing repairs with 360 photo documentation.
Retail Operations:
Showing and selling jewelry on display.
Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the showroom. This includes performing opening/closing procedures and helping keep it clean.
Being aware of what sells and restocking the shelves as needed. You will work with our metalsmiths to create beautiful, universally loved pieces.
Ensure the security of our product and follow operational policy and procedure.
Assist with tracking inventory of all live pieces, gemstones, and diamonds.
Tag all custom and repair photos in our photo database.
Keep our archives room tidy and organized.

What We're Looking For (Requirements):
1+ year of customer facing retail experience.
Comfortable engaging with and relating to people of all types and being generally respectful to everyone in the space is a must
Passion for and knowledge about jewelry, diamonds (e.g., modern, antique, lab), and gemstones. Being familiar with vintage jewelry and its history is a plus
Excellent professional verbal and written communication, while consistently maintaining high attention to detail and emotional intelligence with all clients
Proficiency with personal computers, Adobe products, Microsoft Office, Google and reasonable camera skills
Practical experience with a CRM/POS system or customer-focused channel software system preferred
Must be open to constructive feedback from the team and clients when selecting the best jewelry purchase and service options as a collaborative team player
Must be able to commute to our studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is not a Remote or Hybrid position.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Pay: $20.50 - $25.50/hour, depending on experience - not including sales performance bonus. You will receive a steady guaranteed income each pay period, and on top of that, you’ll have the opportunity to earn extra based on the sales you make. The more you help clients find the perfect piece and complete sales, the more additional income you can achieve. Typical bonus compensation is an additional $6.25-$25/hr per project.
Schedule: Full-time Tuesday through Saturday 10:30 to 6ish (Saturdays are required)
