custom Remounts

Tastes change, and normal wear takes its toll. Either way, it’s time to give your center stone a new home for safety and enjoyment. Schedule a remount appointment, and you will be sitting with a trained designer listening to your goals of a new chapter in your heirloom. We can recycle your gold and even change the color if you like! Many of our remount clients bring us other damaged or undesirable jewelry from their collection to offset the cost of the new project. Broken chain, solo earring, or that class ring only worn at the reunion. Let’s get to work!

YOUR STONE

This diamond is held in place by two of the six intended prongs. I’m so glad this project started!

The first step to intake your stone is to measure, photograph, and describe on your receipt, ensuring your stone is protected while at Darvier.

We always recommend an impartial third-party inspection and classification, further ensuring your diamond’s journey in our shop.

We take your treasure very seriously - you can learn more by clicking the links at the bottom of this page regarding appraisals and our FAQ section.

While our insurance through Jewelers Mutual covers your individual project, you may request additional coverage and specificity through our insurer if your item is of a certain appraised value.

RECYCLE

This happened on the first day of the honeymoon in the hinge of the hotel safe.

We credited the platinum towards their new ring, offsetting part of the project.

We strongly encourage you to bring us older jewelry in any condition to recycle into your remount. Bring it all! Coins, chains, class rings, and the solo earring found in the couch. It all adds up and often offsets the labor of the entire project.

DELIVERY AND WARRANTY

We seem to keep a revolving 6-week turnaround for full custom and two weeks for mild and modified custom throughout the year. Once your jewelry is ready for delivery or pick up. you will receive a detailed receipt, including a mention of any diamonds or gemstones you provided that are suitable for most insurers.

With your provided diamonds or gemstones, we recommend and can schedule an independent appraisal for impartiality. All of which can be performed while your jewelry is in our care. No need for an additional step from you.

About two weeks later, we follow up with studio shots of your finished piece for you to share and comment on any concerns.

Our warranty includes an hour of free labor to adjust anything neither of us (Darvier and you, the client) could have foreseen. It’s rare, but we don’t want to keep you from communicating anything that prevents you from loving your idea!

We have your back.

An in-progress ring held between an thumb an index finger. The silver ring is detailed with the angelic figures from the Ark of the Covenant from the film Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

One of the first rings we 3D printed. It was a new technology in those days (waaay back in 2013). You can see the rudimentary build lines in the piece that we kept to emulate the feathers and organic style of this ring that was eventually set with a yellow sapphire. Resolution today rivals that of machining.
